MyGrooveGuide is an online dance class platform that produces and offers high-quality hip-hop dance classes via our own streaming site. The content consists of clear, professional-quality dance instruction videos with an accessible and energetic vibe. The platform offers courses in urban dance styles like hiphop, breaking, popping and house dance.
Job description
We are looking for a Camera & Editing Crew to be responsible for filming and editing hip-hop dance classes. Ideally, we would like to work with a team that not only takes care of filming and editing, but also has a suitable shooting location or studio in Amsterdam where the recordings can take place.
The job involves capturing dance moves, choreography, explanations, and demonstrations in a studio environment and editing the footage into clear, structured online lessons.
Responsibilities
Filming (shoot days)
- Filming hip-hop dance classes in a studio
- Ensuring clear framing of dancers and movements
- Working with fixed camera angles and possibly multiple cameras
- Responsibility for lighting and basic audio
- Collaborating with the dance teacher and the creative team
Studio / location (preferred / ideal)
- Have access to a suitable indoor shooting location in Amsterdam
- Spacious room with enough space to function as a dance studio
- Good acoustics and controllable lighting
- Professional appearance appropriate for an online platform
Editing & post-production
- Editing complete dance lessons
- Logical structuring of lesson components
- Basic color correction and audio optimization
- Adding titles, intros, and outros
- Delivering in formats suitable for online publication
Profile
We are looking for a person or team that:
- Has experience with video recording and editing
- Has experience filming dance, sports, or tutorials (strong advantage)
- Can deliver consistent quality
- Can work professionally and independently and has its own equipment
- Ideally has an available studio to shoot available in Amsterdam
